I typed ‘AWGMeta’ into Google. Before our company appeared, TikTok Ads did. A small moment worth more than quite a few zeroes in a row.

There are small moments in business that do not appear in balance sheets, investor presentations or translate automatically into money. And yet they are worth more than quite a few zeroes in a row. I had one today, doing something entirely ordinary: I typed our company’s name into Google. AWGMeta. Just out of curiosity, to see what came up. And before our own company appeared, there it was: TikTok. Sponsored Result. ‘Promote Your Business.’ In other words, type AWGMeta and Google serves you an ad for TikTok Ads. I smiled. Then I looked at the screen again. Because, damn, there is something interesting here. Straight away: screenshot, arrows, send it to Thodoris Efthymiadis, Spyros and Makis Seriatros! And their replies made me grow three centimetres taller.

**From chasing attention to becoming part of it**

Those of us who have spent our lives in advertising know exactly how the game works. Companies pay to appear in front of people searching for specific words, products, services or ideas. We once paid for print ads, then banners, then clicks, and today for something much more complex: the chance to be there at precisely the moment someone is thinking about something connected to us.

And suddenly you see your own company’s name sharing a search page with an ad from one of the biggest players in the digital economy.

Of course, I know how these things work. Algorithms have their own paths, their own associations and an almost poetic ability to bring together names that have never made a date. But, between us, I feel no particular need to ask them for an explanation. Some things are nicer when you let them happen — especially when the result is so flattering.

But the fact remains. TikTok Ads appeared in a search for our name. And for someone who was building business ideas long before today’s marketing kids learned what performance means, that has its own sweetness.

**A small personal vindication**

I have lived through periods when we sold technology to people who did not yet know what to do with it. From CNC and digital printing to digital signage, software, the internet and, today, artificial intelligence. I have watched revolutions get announced, lose their shine and, in some cases, genuinely change the world.

And I learned something: the hard part is not following technology. It is understanding what it can do for people before everyone else discovers it.

That is what we are trying to do at AWGMeta. We are not another advertising agency selling posts, campaigns and pretty PowerPoints. We are a company connecting strategy, technology, communication and human thought — aiming to turn information into decisions, ideas into applications and reputation into real business value.

**And yes, I am a little proud**

Not because I think TikTok woke up this morning and decided to compete with AWGMeta. Let’s keep our sense of proportion. But sometimes a simple screen works like a small mirror of the road you have travelled. It reminds you that a name that once existed only in the minds of a few people has begun to build a digital presence of its own.

It is not proof of success. It is not an award, or a scientific measure of brand awareness. But it is a lovely coincidence in an algorithmic world that rarely makes room for sentiment.

And because I have learned to enjoy small wins without dressing them up as triumphs, I will say it as I feel it: when you type AWGMeta into Google and TikTok Ads appears first, you may not have conquered the world. But you have every right to smile.

After all, the important thing is not who appears above you. It is building something people want to search for.

AWGMeta. Your Truth. Well Sold.
